From Family Fun to Eventful Inspiration
Growing up in Albany, Georgia, a city I like to call “The Good Life City.” I was surrounded by celebrations. We always had big family get-togethers, like birthday parties and barbecues. I guess you could say I always had a knack for making things look amazing at these events. I get that from my mom, Mrs. Nellie Parks. She’s the queen of decorations and celebrations! Watching her plan all those parties secretly planted a seed in my head, and that seed eventually grew into Elegance In Action.
A Dream Takes Shape
Serving my country for 12 years in the Army, seeing so much of the world. But there’s no place like home, and when I came back to Albany, that seed started sprouting. In 2021, with a heart full of dreams, I started Elegance In Action, even while I was still working another job. But there was a vision in my mind, a space where love stories could unfold and dreams could take flight. And guess what? The stars aligned! I joined my amazing husband, Tony, a retired military and a civilian employee. He did 23 years of service. I joined him after my retirement in December 2023. So, now I can fully concentrate on pouring all of my love and energy into making this dream of Elegance In Action decor and designs a reality.

Together, I, Felicia Renae Smith, and my daughters, LaTonya & LaToya Rivers, along with my sister Karla Anderson, will make your events the highlight of your memories with our years of event planning, decorating, and design expertise.
